At least a few nights a week, we eat fish for dinner. It's delicious and everyone loves how easy it is to make.

The preparation for this honey garlic salmon is quite minimal. There are never any leftovers, and it is the right balance of sweet and salty.

Ingredients :

  for 4 servings.


14 oz asparagus(395 g), trimmed.

2 tablespoons olive oil.

salt, to taste.

pepper, to taste.

3 cloves garlic, minced

  • salmon :

1 tablespoon olive oil.

4 teaspoons honey.

4 cloves garlic, minced.

6 oz salmon(170 g), 4 fillets.

Preparation :

  1. Oven should be heated to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Arrange the asparagus on a baking sheet and sprinkle with the garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. In the center of the baking sheet, arrange the salmon fillets.
  4. Add the olive oil, honey, and garlic to a small bowl. Combine thoroughly after mixing. Add mixture to salmon and coat.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
  6. Serve right away or keep chilled for 3 to 4 days in an airtight container.
  7. Enjoy!

What do you serve with it?

This hearty dinner may be enjoyed directly out of the skillet and is best served with the asparagus it was cooked with. Mashed potatoes or Cacio E Pepe Roasted Potatoes are excellent potato side dishes to have.

  • Can you make it ahead of time?

Although it's ideal to serve this salmon right once, leftovers store nicely covered in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. The salmon can be roasted through in a 275°F preheated oven for 15 minutes. To prevent drying out, reheat it at a low temperature.

  • Can you make this recipe with other types of fish?

Although I adore the flavor combination of honey, garlic, and salmon, you may substitute cod, hake, or pollock for the salmon.

Similarly, you can substitute other vegetables like carrots or green beans for the asparagus.

  • Depending on the thickness of your salmon fillets, cooking times may vary slightly.
  • When the flesh easily flakes away with a fork, the salmon is done.
  • The skin of the salmon gets beautiful and crispy when served, therefore I prefer to do so. Salmon can be prepared with or without skin if you'd like, but cooking salmon with skin results in a richer flavor.
